This morning there was a light dusting of snow on the ground. After having 80 degree temps in March, it was weird to see snow again.
Emmitt and I were leaving the house, and Emmitt asked "Mom, why did it snow last night?"
I told him that God decided to send us some snow.
He said, "Yeah, because God was getting really hot up there, right Mom?" :o)
We got in the van to head out, and Emmitt asked "What does God drink Mom?"
I told him that God doesn't need to eat or drink because he never gets hungry or thirsty in heaven.
He said, "Yeah, God doesn't need anything to drink. All God needs to do is protect, right Mom? He just protects us from everything. He protects us from robbers that steal all my toys."
Yes, God protects us. He sure does. I take this protections for granted.
Thank you, Emmitt, for the reminder to be thankful for God's protection every day.

Isn't this a beautiful set?!?!
I won it!!!
I'm so excited. I never win anything.
This set is from Dayspring, and
it's beautiful and perfect!
The set includes a gift bag with tissue paper, a tea cup set, a journal and a yearly daybrightener.
Every time I drink tea I will remember that I am 'blessed and loved.' My God has
definitely blessed my life, and I know His love for me is unfailing.
I flipped the daybrightener over this morning to March 12, and this is what it said:
"For it is often life's smallest pleasures and gentlest joys that make the biggest and most lasting difference. Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves."
Sir James M Barrie
Wow! Is that appropriate, or what?!
Kristin, you brought sunshine to my life by sending me this gift. It is a small pleasure I will forever cherish. Thank you!
I entered this giveaway over on my bloggie friend Kristin's blog. She is so sweet,
and a wonderful woman of God. Make sure to stop by and say hi to her :)
Thanks again, Kristin!

My husband is an avid hunter and trapper.
He loves this hobby.
He sets snares and traps on property and checks them daily.
He's had a really successful winter!
Here is a beaver, rabbit and a muskrat that he caught.
He's also trapped more raccoons than we can count!
His main obsession - coyotes.
They are plentiful here, and such a nuisance.
He mostly shoots them in the field behind our house.
They are back there all the time.
At night you can hear them howling.
He has caught several in snares as well, but the one below was shot behind our house last week. A nice big male.
This is a tiny mink that he caught in a trap.
Emmitt loves to go check the snares and traps with his daddy.
Emmitt walked in carrying this last week. He was so proud!
