This past April, our daughter chose to profess her faith and choose to follow her personal Lord and Savior.
As a parent, we couldn't be more thrilled, or proud, or overjoyed.
To know that she has given her heart to Jesus, and is going to live her life
for Him is just overwhelming for us.
I remember doing this when I was about 14. It was a big decision for me.
And it was for Olivia too.
She didn't take it lightly. But felt very strongly it was her time and
that she was more than ready.
We had a wonderful celebration afterwards with family.
She sang a solo in honor of her big day. It was called
Little by Little, and she chose it all by herself. She did awesome.
This is the verse she picked out for her cake.
Pretty appropriate, huh?
Heavenly Father, you have given us Olivia as a gift. We treasure her. We love her deeply, but we know you love her even more. What great joy to know she is following you. We pray for her Lord. We pray for her heart, her soul, her mind and her health. Grow her Lord, in You. Teach her, keep her, strengthen her. Guide her here on this earth, to always seek You first, and to always do Your will. We pray that You are always the first and foremost center of her attention, and that she will trust you always.
This we ask in your precious, saving name.
