A broken foot :(

This is long overdue....but wanted to share it anyway.

Cuz it's kind of a big deal.  To us.

We were camping last July, and had literally gotten camp just set up and were nicely settled. The kids were begging to go to the swings and slides, so we walked over to the playgroud. Emmitt, being a normal boy, decided to not sliiiiiiide down the slide, but rather to slide half way down, and then jump over the side. He did this a few times and was fine, but the last time he did, didn't pan out well. He ended up breaking his foot in 3 places.  Right on the top, right behind his toes.

My poor baby.

It swelled up nice and fat and got purple.  He was such a trooper though and handled it way better than his momma did.  He only had to have the cast on for 3 weeks, but right in the middle of summer, and no swimming allowed = not fun.  He healed nicely though, and there should be no lasting effects. We're thankful for that!
