Eye Surgery #2....and hopefully no more!

Emmitt had his eye surgery last Friday. Last August he had a very minor surgery to open a blocked tear duct. Well, it didn't work. It closed up again. So this time they had to put an actual tube in his duct to keep it open. It has to stay in for 3 months. It was a little more extensive surgery this time, 20 minutes, compared to 5 last time. Everything went so smooth though. I could feel all those prayers being said for us. We thank God it went so well, and continue to pray that it works this time. Here's some pictures from before his surgery. He looked too darn cute in his little hospital gown =)

Nurse Ruby helping Emmitt find some toys.

Nurse Ruby had to get his pulse/ox (sp?) and he wasn't wantin nothin to do wit dat!!! =)

Tryin to squirm away - he's not a big fan of doctors anymore :)

Eric looks beat - lol! We were up at 4:30 that morning to be at the hospital on time. We all slept good that night :)

Olivia turned 9 on Feb. 25. It's hard for me and Eric to believe that it's been 9 years since we took that black haired little 6 pound angel home.

Time truly flies.

Olivia has brought us so much joy. We are very proud of who she is, and how much love she has for Jesus. We celebrated with a family party on the 28th, out for dinner w/ Grandma Ellie and G&G Ebels on her birthday, and the weekend before she had some girlfriends over. It was great fun!

Blowing out 9 candles!

Her cake full of earrings.....she loves earrings!

We went out to eat on her birthday to a local Mexican restaurant called Herraduras. She got to wear a huge sombrero and got sung to by the waiters. She was more than embarrased!! LOL
One of the waiters actually put a dap of whipped cream on her mouth :)

Grandma Ellie & Olivia =)

We gave Olivia a Webkinz for her birthday. This is her 4th one. She loves Webkinz. This one was a Hedgehog she named Hedge :)
Here are the 5 girls she had over for her party. Maddie Lanser, Ellie Haan, Madelyn Yount, Faith Koetje, and Desiree Ebels. Lots of drama here! :)
Eating her birthday cupcake!
The girls around the table with their cupcakes. They all got to blow out a candle.
These are the plates and napkins Olivia picked out - super cute!
These are the favors I gave out to her friends. I bought the little felt bags and giltter glued their names on them. Everybody really liked their gifts!
